Drs. Kurt & Cami Kainer met in veterinary school at Texas A&M University. They graduated and got married in 2012, and began jobs at separate practices south of San Antonio. They purchased the Weimar Veterinary Clinic in 2016 from Dr. Bill Rugeley (now retired) and moved back to the Fayette/Colorado County area to raise their children close to home. They outgrew the old clinic quickly and purchased land to start building their new clinic in 2020. Oak Grove Veterinary Clinic (formerly Weimar Vet Clinic) is the result of their dreams come to fruition. The name is derived from the Czech meaning of Dubina, which is translated “Oak Grove”.
Kurt & Cami have 3 daughters-Adley (9), Avery (7), Berkeley (4) and Brody (1). Dr. Kurt manages the Oak Grove clinic and enjoys working on a wide variety of animals including exotics and deer. He manages multiple deer facilities all over Texas.
Dr. Cami works at Oak Grove on Fridays and also sees patients in Flatonia and La Grange. She primarily enjoys working on small animals and horses. When they are not working, Cami and Kurt enjoy traveling and especially being in the mountains in New Mexico. They take pride in what they do and will take special care of your livestock, pets, and furry friends.
